The Coordinating Committee For Automotive Repair (CCAR) is a non-profit organization with a singular focus on the automotive industry and its needs for safety and hazardous material compliance and training. Founded in 1994 with grant funding from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), CCAR is also one of the original Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Alliance partners and is the only partner focused on providing safety best practice information to the automotive collision and repair industries. CCAR has twice been recognized by the ASE Training Managers Council (ATMC) with their \”National Excellence in Training\” award and was chosen by the North American Hazmat Action Committee (NAAHAC) to develop hazardous material handling training courses. TechForce Foundation is a 501(c)(3) with the mission to encourage and support students to and through their technical education and into careers in the transportation industry. TechForce is pleased to spearhead the FutureTech Success campaign, an industry wide initiative to drive the pipeline of tomorrows transportation technicians.

TechForce Foundation has built a strategic plan to address the technician shortage in the transportation industry. The solution will take an integrated, multi-faceted approach that requires full industry participation. The TechForce Foundation works through national and grassroots channels to shift the mindset of parents and influencers of middle-school students and break the outdated stigmas of the profession. Primary objectives of TechForce include bringing tinkering experiences back into the lives of young people, connecting the dots between STEM and CTE education, building respect and funding for technical education, and engaging one of America’s largest industries to demand the education and training needed for its future workforce.
